Twenty-Nine Construction Professionals Awarded the Certified Professional Constructor Certification

Alexandria, VA – (May 15, 2013) Twenty-Nine construction professionals recently earned the Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) certification from the American Institute of Constructor’s Constructor Certification Commission (AIC & CCC). To become certified, an individual must meet certain qualifying experience and/or educational requirements and pass a comprehensive examination. The examination was held April 6, 2013 at over 70 locations across the United States. In addition, over 1,100 Associate Constructor (AC) certification examinations were administered. The AC certification is available for individuals who have not yet met the higher qualification requirements of the CPC certification.

The CPC examination tests problem solving abilities that require application of knowledge, analysis, and synthesis at the level of an experienced constructor. Passing the CPC exam distinguishes an individual as a Professional Constructor - someone who possesses the skills and knowledge acquired by education and experience to manage the execution of all or a substantial portion of a construction project. A Professional Constructor is an individual committed to serve the construction industry in a professional and ethical manner and engage in a continued development of skills and education to meet increasing industry challenges and changes.

”Congratulations to this new class of CPCs; they have all demonstrated a clear understanding of what it means to be a Professional Constructor.” said Matthew Conrad, CPC, Chair of the AIC Constructor Certification Commission. Conrad added “The AIC continues to certify those in our industry that strive for a higher standard of professionalism and excellence; I welcome this new class into the CPC program and look forward to their contributions to our organization and industry.”

The next CPC examination is November 2, 2013, registration will open online in the summer of 2013. For more information about the constructor certification or the AIC please contact Joseph Sapp at 703-683-4999 X224 or
