Alexandria, VA – (December 16, 2013) Seventeen construction professionals recently earned the Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) certification from the American Institute of Constructor’s Constructor Certification Commission (AIC & CCC). To become certified, an individual must meet certain qualifying experience and/or educational requirements and pass a comprehensive examination. The examination was held November 2, 2013 at over 70 locations across the United States. In addition, over 600 Associate Constructor (AC) certification examinations were administered. The AC certification is available for individuals who have not yet met the higher qualification requirements of the CPC certification.

The CPC examination tests problem-solving abilities that require application of knowledge, analysis, and synthesis at the level of an experienced constructor. Passing the CPC exam distinguishes an individual as a Professional Constructor - someone who possesses the skills and knowledge acquired by education and experience to manage the execution of all or a substantial portion of a construction project. A Professional Constructor is an individual committed to serve the construction industry in a professional and ethical manner and engage in a continued development of skills and education to meet increasing industry challenges and changes.

“I continue to be impressed with the individuals that dedicate themselves to earning the CPC designation. This exam is extremely tough and requires dedication and preparation to pass. By passing this exam these 17 individuals have clearly demonstrated their commitment to a higher professional and ethical practice.” Said AIC Constructor Certification Commission Chairman Matthew Conrad, CPC.

The next CPC examination is April 5, 2014; registration will open online in late December 2013. For more information about the constructor certification or the AIC please contact Joseph Sapp at 703-683-4999 X224 or
