The American Institute of Constructors is now accepting nominations for it's National Awards Program. They also recognize members who have attained national recognition for their work in the industry. Help the AIC celebrate those most deserving members and volunteers and submit a nomination today!
Nominations must adhere to the guidelines on the AIC National Awards Program Call for Nominations document. All nominations must be received by November 30, 2015 in order to be considered. Winners will be honored at the AIC Awards Dinner in on February 26, 2016 at the AIC Annual Forum in San Diego, CA. For more information, including the nomination guidelines document and to view past award winners please visit the awards section of our website: http://www.professionalconstructor.org/?page=Awards.
Nominations are currently being accepted for the following AIC Awards:
THE WALTER A. NASHERT, SR. CONSTRUCTOR AWARD
This award should bring national recognition to the recipient and to AIC. It is for a talented person who has gained high visibility in the construction industry. The recipient need not be an AIC member. However, the recipient should have established a reputation of integrity and fair dealing. It may be that recipient is head of a contractor’s association, executive of a large construction company, someone who was a team leader of a successful high-profile mega-project, etc.
THE VICTOR C. SMITH PROFESSIONAL CONSTRUCTOR AWARD
This award will be made to someone who, through outstanding service, had made contributions to both the AIC chapter and the local community. The nomination must come from a chapter. It is suggested that the Chapter call for nominations in this category in sufficient time to have membership voting and announcement of the winner, then meet the cut-off date for the national nomination. The nominee must be Constructor or Fellow Member of AIC. Each chapter should elect the Member who best exemplifies the professional constructor by work and deed, a person who has made the best contributions to the community and to the local AIC Chapter.
This award is to honor AIC’s young members who have distinguished themselves by their conduct in their work life, their dedication to their profession and their effort on behalf of the American Institute of Constructors in local/chapter and/or national operations of the Institute.
