For Immediate Release

Alexandria, VA – (May 18, 2015) The American Institute of Constructors announced today that eighteen construction professionals have been awarded the Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) credential based on their performance on the March 28, 2015 CPC Examination. To become certified as a CPC, an individual must have over 8 years of qualifying experience and education and pass a comprehensive examination based on the Constructor Body of Knowledge.

The 8 hour examination, was held at over 70 locations across the United States. In addition, 1,000 Associate Constructor (AC) certification examinations were administered, including over 900 University Students who take it as part of their construction program.

The CPC examination tests problem-solving abilities that require application of knowledge, analysis, and synthesis at the level of an experienced constructor. Passing the CPC exam distinguishes an individual as a Professional Constructor - someone who possesses the skills and knowledge acquired by education and experience to manage the execution of all or a substantial portion of a construction project. A Professional Constructor is an individual committed to serve the construction industry in a professional and ethical manner and engage in a continued development of skills and education to meet increasing industry challenges and changes.

“I congratulate those that recently passed the CPC exam. This credential is a mark of a true professional and those that have earned it should be proud of such an accomplishment. With the ever increasing support and recognition of the CPC credential in the industry, having earned it will pay dividends for these individuals, their companies and their clients.” Said AIC Constructor Certification Commission Chairman Dennis Bausman, FAIC, CPC.

The next CPC examination is November 7, 2015; registration will open online in June 2015. For more information about the constructor certification or the AIC please contact Joseph Sapp at 703-683-4999 X224 or info@professionalconstructor.org.
