Matthew Conrad, CPC to Lead AIC Certification Program


Alexandria, VA – (May 17, 2013) The American Institute of Constructors (AIC) recently named Matthew Conrad, CPC as Chairman of its Constructor Certification Commission (CCC) Board of Governors. As Chairman, Conrad will oversee the certification arm of the AIC which administers over 2,000 examinations yearly at the Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) and Associate Constructor (AC) levels.

Conrad currently of The Christman Company of Lansing, MI previously served in other capacities on the Commission, most recently as Vice-Chairman. Prior to his work on the Commission he was a National Director on the AIC’s Board of Directors, ascending to the role of Secretary of the AIC. “I am extremely honored to have the opportunity to serve as the Chairman of the AIC Constructor Certification Commission. I look forward to advocating the need for industry wide acceptance and recognition of our Constructor Certification program.” Said Conrad, regarding his appointment as Chairman.

The Commission also welcomed the election of Tom Smithey, CPC of Greensboro, NC and the re-appointment of Penny Knoll, CPC of Bozeman, MT to the Board of Governors. Each will serve a term of 3 years as a Governor. Leaving the Board of Governors is former Chairman David Fleming, CPC who was recently appointed AIC National President.
