Joseph Sapp Earns Certified Association Executive Credential

Washington, DC, 1/27/2014 - - The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) has announced that Joseph Sapp, CAE, Executive Director of the American Institute of Constructors has earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential. The CAE is the highest professional credential in the association industry. Less than five percent of all association professionals have earned the CAE.
To be designated as a Certified Association Executive, an applicant must have a minimum of three years experience in nonprofit organization management, complete a minimum of 100 hours of specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management, and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. To maintain the certification, individuals must undertake ongoing professional development and activities in association and nonprofit management. More than 4,000 association professionals currently hold the CAE credential. The CAE program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
Founded in 1971, the American Institute of Constructors mission is to promote individual professionalism and excellence throughout the related fields of construction. AIC supports the individual Constructor throughout their careers by helping to develop the skills, knowledge, professionalism and ethics that further the standing of the construction industry. The Associate Constructor (AC) and Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) are internationally recognized certifications in the construction industry.
