FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

American Institute of Constructors Launches AIC University, New Online Education Portal

Alexandria, VA, March 3, 2014 – The American Institute of Constructors (AIC) a professional society whose mission is to promote individual professionalism and excellence throughout the related fields of construction has announced the launch of a new online education portal, AIC University.

AIC University provides an online platform for both AIC Members and the public to obtain professional continuing education in an on demand format. Courses through the platform are a mixture of self-produced courses from the AIC and training courses donated by various construction firms, the first being Tempe, AZ based Sundt Construction, Inc.

“A special thank you goes out to Joe and Tanya Matthews of TMG Construction and the AIC Education Foundation for their generous support during the development of AIC University. We are also thankful for Sundt Construction for their content donation.” Said AIC Executive Director Joe Sapp, CAE.

“AIC U is going to be a valuable member program as it provides our members with access to high quality, affordable continuing education.  I envision this program to incorporate courses from various sources, providing our members a one of a kind learning experience.” Remarked AIC National President David Fleming, CPC of Sundt Construction, Inc. when asked about his impression of AIC U.

AIC University is now open online with many courses available for registration.  More courses will be released in the coming weeks, including recorded sessions from the AIC’s Annual Forum being held in April, 2014.  Individuals taking the AIC’s Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) certification examination may also take a self-paced study course within AIC U.  AIC Members have free or discounted access to all courses within AIC U.  Non-AIC Members are able to purchase access to courses as well.
