The Commission provides the framework for professionals to demonstrate their proficiency through professional certification. This commitment helps to further the construction industry by improving individual skills and knowledge.
AIC Ethics Commission, Chair - Matt Conrad, AIC, CPC
The AIC Code of Ethics is the centerpiece of the Institute's mission and goals. Since the promotion of ethical conduct and professionalism among Constructors is essential to the standing of the overall profession, we welcome volunteer professionals who share this same belief. The Ethics Commission also produces:
A Program on Construction Ethics, A teaching tool for ethics programs.
Inter-Industry Relations, Chair - David Bierlein, CPC
The AIC mission requires the Institute to work together with other like-minded sister organizations to help raise the level of professionalism, education, ethics and influence within our industry.
Professional Standards, Chair - Stephen P. Byrne, FAIC, CPC, MCIOB
AIC was founded to uphold and maintain the highest possible professional standards. One of the ways this committee helps to accomplish this ideal is through the Professional Review which is the last step before membership in AIC is official.
Programs and Education, Co-Chairs - James Hoskinson, CPC and Seth O'Brien, CPC
One of the most important aspects of the AIC mission is education. This primary focal point requires dedicated volunteers that can help us provide the educational content that enlightens and engages the construction industry. AIC currently holds two annual educational meetings that require member involvement and support.
Publications, Chair - Dennis Bausman, PhD, CPC
The
Publications Committee helps share the information that is important to the individuals constructor whether through the AIC Newsletter or Journal. We are looking for people with ideas to help AIC disseminate valuable information.
Membership Services, Co-Chairs - Bradley T. Monson, CPC and Saeed Goodman, CPC PMP CMIT
Membership in AIC is an important part of any Constructor's professional development. This committee exists to build membership in AIC and help "Build the Professional Constructor's Community."
Marketing, Chair - Wayne Reiter, CPA CPC
The Marketing Committee was established to help promote Constructor Certification, AIC Membership, and grow the Professional Constructor Partner program. From Membership to Certification, the Marketing Committee is working on promoting each program of the AIC.
Other Committees
The President of AIC, with the consent of the Board of Directors, may appoint committees or task forces as necessary to explore or investigate matters of interest to the Institute.
the following committees are directed by the President and AIC Board of Directors. They are not open to the public unless specifically required by AIC Leadership.
Executive Committee
The affairs of the Board of Directors shall be carried on between Board meetings by an Executive Committee. Members of the Executive Committee shall be the immediate Past President of AIC, the chairs of current standing committees.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee shall consist of 6 members; the 3 immediate Past Presidents, the current president, the Vice President, and the Treasurer. The immediate Past President shall Chair the Committee. The Finance Committee shall prepare the annual budget for the Institute and other duties as assigned by the President of the Board of Directors.
Long Range Planning Committee
The Long Range Planning Committee (LRPC) shall develop, review and continually monitor plans for the Institute with respect to growth and progress. The LRPC shall consist of 6 members; the President, the 2 immediate Past Presidents and the Chairmen of the Membership Committee and the Professional Standards Committee. The current Vice President shall be chairman of the LRPC.
