2012 Annual Forum

The American Institute of Constructors Annual Forum is an event aimed at providing quality continuing educational opportunities, without breaking the bank. Year in and year out the AIC Annual Forum provides a great atmosphere for construction professionals to come together in a learning environment and earn those always important Continuing Education credits. The event also provides a great networking platform for young professionals. AIC Members are always a friendly group that enjoy being able to come together at this event to catch up on a professional and personal level.

The AIC is proud to announce the addition of Kevin Powell, P.E. to the Annual Forum Schedule for Friday, April 20th.  Kevin currently serves as the Florida Area Engineer under the Mobile Engineering District, US Army Corps of Engineers.  Kevin will give a briefing on the recent US Army Central Command Headquarters Project at MacDill Air Force Base.  Kevin will be speaking on Friday, April 20th at 11:00am EST.   You can read Kevin's full bio by clicking here.

 

The American Institute of Constructors is happy to announce that long time AIC Member Jack Blitch, CPC will present this year's keynote address.  Jack is currently the VP and General Manager at Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) in Orlando, FL.  Jack is responsible for all levels of Project Development on large attractions, resorts, and theme park projects.  He currently manages the process of creation - from concept initiation through installation at theme parks.  Jack began his career at Disney in 1988 as a Senior Project Manager at WDI, where he managed the design, production, construction, and installation of Wonders of Life Pavilion at Epcot Center and Star Tours at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Click here to read the rest of Jack's bio.

Item Writing Session - April 20, 8am-3pm EST.
Join the AIC Volunteers on Friday April 20, 2012 at the AIC Item Writing Session.  The Exam Committee's Item Writing SubCommittee will be meeting Saturday morning to brainstorm new questions for the Associate Constructor and Certified Professional Constructor Exams.  This is a great opportunity to lend your expertise to the AIC.  Those of you that hold an AC or CPC certification can earn CPD credit for helping out.  If you would like to attend please RSVP by selecting the optional registration option when registering for the AIC Annual Forum.


AIC Board of Directors Meeting/Open Business Meeting - April 21, 2012 - 10:15am-12:00pm
Join the AIC Board of Directors during this open business meeting to hear about the state of the AIC.  This is a great opportunity to meet your AIC Board of Directors. 

Students who are registered for the full conference now have the opportunity to schedule Summer Internship interviews with Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) and Walbridge.  Interviews will take place on April 19th (Walbridge) and April 20th (WDI).

If you wish to schedule an interview you first must be registered as a student for the AIC Annual Forum. 

Join the Inter Industry Committee for a Networking Event @ The 2012 Annual Forum.  

Catch up with fellow AIC Members and meet new colleagues during this networking event.  This event will be held on April 19th at Ricks On the River 2305 N. Willow Ave.Tampa, FL 33607 from 5:00pm.
