The AIC continues to promote individual professionalism and excellence within the related fields of construction. Members of the AIC share a common goal and belief that it is vital for us as an industry to have high standard for our individual constructors. We are the home of the professional constructor. Membership within the AIC displays to the industry that you are committed to advancing not only yourself, but the industry through a higher standard of practice. Membership in the AIC displays to the public and industry of your earned professional status through education, experience, service, and conduct.

Membership Classes
Constructor Membership ($275)
The Constructor-class membership is intended for career constructors with many years of experience in the profession. Constructor members are full voting member, and may run for leadership positions in the Institute. Constructor membership is the highest membership classification that one can achieve without special nominations and elections. Must meet certain experience and/or educational requirements or hold an Certified Professional Constructor Certification. Click here for more information on Constructor Membership requirements.
Associate Membership ($160)
The Associate-class membership is intended for career constructors who do not yet qualify for the Constructor class. Associate members are full voting member, and may run for leadership positions in the Institute, but do not receive all of the benefits that Constructor and Fellow members receive. Must meet certain experience and/or educational requirements or hold an Associate Constructor Certification. Click here for more information on Associate Membership requirements.
Educator ($150)
The Educator class is provided for those involved in the instructional aspect of the construction industry. That includes those who are currently teaching construction related courses in a high school, trade school, 2 year program or collegiate institution. Student Membership ($25)
The Student class is provided for those studying construction at the collegiate level. It enables students to participate in Institutional activities, to benefit from it’s publications and services and to keep abreast of new developments while undertaking further education courses and gaining the necessary experience for admission to a designated class of membership. Affiliate ($500)
Affiliates are members who are not directly part of the construction profession, but share a common interest in AIC’s goals and mission. Affiliate member are considered full members of the Institute, and are encouraged to participate in all AIC event and activities. Fellow ($300)
Fellowship is the highest honor conferred on a member of the Institute. It is limited to those persons who have advanced in their careers to a position of eminence by demonstrating a consistent pattern of professional performance and whose inclusion in the College of Fellows will bring added distinction to that body.
